What is next for employment law?
We are delighted to invite you to join us for our Employment Law Update webinar which is part of our Public Sector Insights Forum. The webinar will take place on Tuesday 20 May 2025 from 10am to 11:15 am.
The reform of employment law is a priority for the Government and since its publication on 10 October 2024, the Employment Rights Bill has hardly been out of the headlines.
In the webinar, Senior Practice Support lawyer Debra Gers and Solicitor Ben Wilson will:
- Discuss the high-profile changes to unfair dismissal rights
- Consider the proposals against the abuse of “fire and rehire”
- Discuss the reform of statutory sick pay
- Consider the proposals regarding zero-hour contracts
- Highlight other measures contained in the Bill
Debra and Ben will also provide an overview of recent developments and the implications for your organisations. These include:
- The current consultation on mandatory ethnicity and disability pay gap reporting and the particular implications for public bodies
- The introduction of neonatal care leave and pay
- The implications of recent case law developments
- A look ahead to what we can expect for the remainder of 2025
As well as discussion and insights from Debra and Ben, there will be time for you to ask questions (and we will always ensure your questions are dealt with on an anonymous basis). Please click on the Sign Up Here button to register your details.
