The Procurement Bill has now finished its Parliamentary journey and received Royal Assent yesterday, becoming the Procurement Act 2023. The Procurement Act will transform how public bodies procure works, goods and services.
But, no need to panic. Yet.
Whilst it is now law, it will not come into effect for some time yet. It is currently scheduled to come into effect in October 2024. So keep calm and carry on (for now). There will also be a need to fill some gaps via secondary legislation.
Blake Morgan’s public procurement specialists can help you get ready for this transformation. Please contact Tomos Lewis to find out how we can support your organisation (whether a public body or supplier).
We will also be publishing resource and guidance in due course and keeping you up to date with latest developments.
