Blake Morgan promotes four lawyers to partner
Leading law firm Blake Morgan has announced the promotion of four lawyers to partner across its offices in London, Thames Valley and the South Coast.
Effective 1 May 2018 the latest promotion round highlights the firm’s commitment to recognising and rewarding the contributions of its staff to the continued success and growth of the firm.
Blake Morgan’s Litigation Dispute Resolution (LDR) team has been strengthened with two senior promotions. Christopher Williams from the London office and Katie James from the Thames Valley office in Reading have both been promoted to partner.
Katie has more than 11 years’ experience in insolvency law, with a particular specialism in dealing with distressed care homes as well as hotels and complex group structures.
Christopher specialises in advising on IP and IT disputes and has acted for a wide range of clients including one the UK's largest independent organic food brands, a leading airline and an e-commerce platform.
Two lawyers from the firm’s South Coast office in Southampton have also been recognised in the promotion round. Within the pensions team, Rupert Graham Evans is stepping up to partner. Rupert has over 14 years’ experience of pension law, advising employers, trustees, intermediaries and individuals.
In the built environment division, Jessica Tresham is also taking on the role of partner. Jessica specialises in construction disputes, acting for national house builders, contractors, commercial organisations and private individuals.
In addition to these promotions, the London office has also appointed a new built environment partner, Gareth Williams. Gareth joined the team from DLA Piper, where he worked within its real estate department, and brings specialist expertise in residential-led regeneration and mixed-use development schemes.
