Employment law update
Keeping up to date with employment law developments can be difficult. This year has been particularly challenging, with a vast amount of new legislation coming into effect on a wide range of matters. These include changes to family-friendly rights and holiday pay and entitlement, the subject of our recent Employment webinar.
Employers and HR professionals need to ensure they are well-placed to meet the challenges of constant change and to prepare for future developments, including the likelihood of a general election later in the year.
Employment lawyers Debra Gers, Hannah Waterworth and Elinor Rowlands will update you about recent employment law changes and provide an overview of future developments and their implications for your organisation.
In the webinar, they will:
- Discuss the new family-friendly rights implemented in April 2024 and the new Acas Code of Practice.
- Provide an overview of recently published guidance which may have gone under the radar on topics as diverse as pregnancy and maternity rights and AI in recruitment.
- Consider the implications of recent case law developments including reasonable adjustments, flexible working and unfair dismissal.
- Provide an update of where we are with minimum service levels.
- Look ahead to what we can expect for the remainder of 2024.
As well as discussion and insights from Debra, Hannah and Elinor, there will be time for you to ask questions (and we will always ensure your questions are dealt with on an anonymous basis).
