Posted by Kirsteen Hook on
The Institute of Fundraising (IoF) and the Fundraising Regulator released a joint GDPR guidance on the 26 February 2018. This guidance has been approved by the main regulator of GDPR the Information Commissioner's Office.

The guidance has been formed by collating the different questions that charities have been asking and it gives an overview of GDPR in relation to charities and how different types of data may be used in the day to day running and fundraising of a charity. The guidance is specially focused on fundraising.

The guidance is available for free and focuses on a practical application of the law to real life scenarios.

The IoF's guidance can be viewed here.
