The Government has today published their independent review of the strategic case for tidal lagoons and whether they could play a cost effective role as part of the UK energy mix.

Commenting on the findings of the Hendry Review, Emyr Lewis, Regional Senior Partner for Wales, said:

“This is a great achievement for Tidal Lagoon Power, and excellent news for the people of Swansea Bay and for the Welsh economy at large. We should all be very proud of this game-changing infrastructure project that will replace part of our aging power station fleet with reliable long-term, sustainable and low cost, power while creating thousands of much needed jobs. This new  industry will help put Wales firmly back on the global map as a supplier of energy, and we very much look forward to now continuing our work with the team at Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay Plc.”
