Celebration for law firm as teams move office

Staff at Oxford law firm Blake Morgan celebrated coming together under one roof with a drinks reception.

A total of 155 Oxford-based lawyers at the firm, created earlier this year by the merger of Blake Lapthorn and Morgan Cole, are all now based at Seacourt Tower.

An event was held to welcome 45 former Morgan Cole staff, who had previously worked out of Buxton Court, into the building and to mark the teams’ first day as a fully-integrated office.

Mike Wilson, Blake Morgan’s Regional Senior Partner for the Thames Valley, said: “The harmonisation of our two offices into Seacourt Tower has gone exceptionally well. After a lot of hard work on the part of our staff, it is great to see all our Oxford staff together as one team.

“Both legacy firms have been in Oxford for many years and were well-known and respected in the region. We are very proud to bring together all our staff who share a passion to serve our clients and benefit the community in which we work.”

Blake Morgan, which came into being following the merger in July, is the largest law firm in Oxford with a rich heritage in the city and leading lawyers in many fields of practice in the region.
