Blake Morgan welcomes energy specialist Mathew Kidwell back to the firm
Leading law firm Blake Morgan has announced the appointment of energy specialist Mathew Kidwell as a Partner in their corporate team co-assigned to their Cardiff and London offices.
Having begun his career with Morgan Bruce, in 1989, Mathew returns to Blake Morgan from one of the leading U.S.-based international law firms.
He brings with him more than 20 years' experience in the energy sector, which includes acquisitions and divestitures, farm-ins and farm-outs, petroleum licensing and concessions, project development, construction and joint ventures.
Representing oil companies, government agencies and state-owned enterprises, banks, project sponsors, developers, contractors and service providers in energy transactions, Mathew’s experience spans the Middle East, Southeast Asia, the CIS, Europe and Latin America.
He has been listed in a number of legal guides, including the World’s Leading Energy Lawyers 2017, Who’s Who Legal: Energy 2016, the International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers, and the International Who’s Who of Oil and Gas Lawyers.

Mathew is a graduate of the University of St Andrews. He has worked in a number of high profile roles with prominent international law firms.
