Iona Easton

Iona is a Senior Associate working within our Banking & Finance team, based in the Thames Valley.

Main areas of practice

Iona’s main areas of expertise include acquisition finance, property finance, and asset finance, with a substantial proportion of her work focusing on secured project finance lending, for acquisition, construction and development. She is also experienced in dealing with debt instruments, and listings on a number of exchanges, including TISE.

Iona is responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating facility and security documentation, and undertaking complex facility and security reviews. She also advises on loan servicing and other commercial banking matters across a range of facilities, structures and intercreditor arrangements.

Iona’s banking expertise is complemented by a detailed background in all aspects of corporate law, and accordingly she has experience of acquisition and disposal of companies, acquisition and disposal of the business and assets of companies, reorganising corporate structures including advising on share buybacks and shareholders’ agreements and general corporate advisory work.

Career

Iona graduated from the University of York in 2015, before going on to complete the Legal Practice Course (LLM) at the University of Law in Guildford in 2016. Iona joined Blake Morgan as a Trainee Solicitor in March 2017 and qualified as a Solicitor in March 2019.
