Blake Morgan named finalist in two categories at the Wales Business Awards 2026
Blake Morgan has been named as a finalist in two categories in the Wales Business Awards 2026: Outstanding Workplace Culture and Apprenticeship Scheme of the Year.
Organised by Chambers Wales South East, South West and Mid, the awards give businesses across the nation the chance to compete for Wales’ most prestigious honours. Blake Morgan is delighted to feature in these two important categories that reflect the values of the firm and its commitment to colleagues, clients and communities.
The Outstanding Workplace Culture award shines a light on the organisations that are creating workplaces where people feel valued, supported and inspired. Blake Morgan’s submission for this award featured their voluntary alignment with the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 and the long-term vision for Wales’ social, economic, environmental and cultural wellbeing.
The Apprenticeship Scheme of the Year award recognises businesses that have demonstrated excellence in developing apprenticeship programmes that contribute significantly to workforce development and individual career progression. For this award submission, Blake Morgan has been able to demonstrate how the firm is helping to develop the next generation of Welsh talent through their partnership with Cardiff and Vale College (CAVC). An apprenticeship pathway has been designed to blend academic learning with meaningful, structured workplace experience in a way that is accessible and delivers proven outcomes. The programme reaches beyond the firm with opportunities for apprentices to get involved in community initiatives, build their own professional networks and become advocates for alternative paths into the legal profession.
“To be recognised in these two awards in particular is meaningful for our Cardiff team,” said Business Development Manager in Cardiff, Ruth Gingell.
They both speak to our vision for a future that is accessible, innovative and sustainable and we can only achieve that through our commitments to creating a great workplace and developing future talent.
The awards ceremony takes place on 14 May 2026 in Cardiff. The evening promises a memorable celebration of Welsh business excellence. It will shine a spotlight on remarkable finalists and winners, while welcoming leading figures from across Wales’ business community.
