Blake Morgan’s London teams celebrate success in Chambers and Partners

Posted on 28th October 2021

Leading law firm Blake Morgan is celebrating after several of its London teams were listed in the 2022 edition of the Chambers and Partners Guide, which recognises and recommends the best performing lawyers and legal firms across the UK.

Special praise was given to the ‘excellent’ Band 2 London Real Estate: Lower Mid-Market team, and Tony Coyne in particular, for their ‘high-quality practice’. Likewise, the London Banking and Finance: Lenders: Lower Mid-Market team was applauded for being ‘professional, pragmatic and knowledgeable’, with Meera Jansen being a notable name behind their ‘great service’.

The Chambers and Partners Guide also recognises leading lawyers from across the industry, with several individuals from Blake Morgan’s London teams among those commended. Flora Grossman, from the London Family/Matrimonial team, was singled out for her ‘hard-working, methodical’ attitude, with a client praising her willingness to go ‘above and beyond’. Likewise, Travel: Regulatory & Commercial Partner, Ian Skuse’s clients supported his Band 2 ranking by describing him as a ‘very experienced’ and ‘efficient’ lawyer. The ‘very technically knowledgeable’ Lucy Edwards was also commended, ranked as a ‘Star Associate’ for her specialist expertise in the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) – making her a ‘hugely effective litigator’, according to one client.

Across Blake Morgan’s five UK offices, the Guide ranked 41 teams as Band 1 or 2, while 63 individual lawyers were ranked – 16 of whom were placed within the highest band. These rankings highlight the strength and depth of the talent across the firm.

Helen Bunker, Partner in Blake Morgan’s London office, said:

Given the challenges faced over the past year, it is especially rewarding to see our London teams and individuals receiving the recognition that they so richly deserve. Our lawyers have worked tirelessly to achieve strong results for their clients – and these rankings demonstrate the broad and best-in-class service Blake Morgan provides.
