Finalists for the Solent Deals Awards 2022 announced

The finalists for the Solent Deals Awards 2022 – the major south coast corporate finance event of the year, featuring banks and private equity houses, business advisers and lawyers – have just been announced and Blake Morgan is celebrating a number of shortlistings.

Blake Morgan are one of six firms shortlisted for the Law Firm of the Year award, while Corporate partners James Hawkeswood and Mat Wilson have secured two of the six finalists’ spots in the Lawyer of the Year category.

Additionally, Blake Morgan’s work is well represented in the three deals categories with the following being shortlisted:

  • the CT Automotive Group IPO and Harwood Wealth Management Group takeover by Hurst Point Group in the Large Deal of the Year (over £50m) category,
  • Lucketts Holdings sale to the National Express Group in the Mid-range Deal of the Year (£10m-£50m) category, and
  • Team Healthcare Acquisitions sale to Bespoke Health & Social Care and the Terence O’Rourke Employee Ownership Trust in the Small Deal of the Year (under £10m) category.

The leading law firm are also delighted to be sponsoring the Large Deal of the Year Award (over £50m), which honours the deal that is the most significant in terms of its complexity, innovative solution, speed of completion, impact on businesses involved, and impact on the local economy.

This year’s Solent Deals Awards take place at the Hilton Ageas in Southampton on Thursday 24 March, with a number of Blake Morgan’s Corporate and Banking lawyers attending. Good luck to all those shortlisted.
