Partnership at the heart of social housing bid win

Posted on 30th October 2025

Blake Morgan is proud of their social housing expertise and reputation in the sector – serving many landlord clients for many years. In this complex and ever-changing sector, understanding the priorities of providers has been key to their success.

The law firm is delighted to share that the Housing Team has been successful in a significant re-tender for their client of 10-plus years, Midland Heart.

Midland Heart is a housing association that operates in the Midlands region. The organisation owns and manages more than 35,000 homes, providing accommodation for over 70,000 tenants across 54 Local Authorities. It is committed to providing quality affordable homes and balancing great tenant service with value for money.

Blake Morgan bid in respect of Lot 2 – Housing Litigation and Housing Management. The Lot has been split between five firms (over a period of three years with a possible extension of a further two years) and covers management of Anti-Social Behaviour, Ombudsman complaints, disrepair, tenancy and leasehold possession/forfeiture and enforcement proceedings.

The bid was led by Partner Siân Jones and Legal Director Tanya Barrett. It also drew on Claire Rawle’s Health & Safety expertise and Eve Piffaretti’s Health & Care experience. They were supported by the Finance and Risk teams in what was a highly competitive process. Blake Morgan looks forward to building on its longstanding relationship with Midland Heart and supporting it in serving its communities.

Reflecting on the win, Siân Jones said:

This win was a real team effort that drew on our expertise across the firm. We were able to present a compelling bid and I’m delighted we can continue to serve an organisation that is positively impacting its community.
