Main areas of practice
The Global Business Mobility Visa routes allow overseas organisations to send key personnel to the UK for expansion, training, secondments, or specialist roles. As specialist Global Business Mobility Visa solicitors, we ensure your business meets all eligibility criteria, sponsorship duties, and compliance obligations. Our solicitors advise on all GBM categories including:
UK Expansion Worker Visa
This visa allows senior or specialist employees of an overseas business to come to the UK to establish and grow a UK branch. It supports companies entering the UK market by enabling their senior personnel to enter the UK to oversee setup, operations, and early development while meeting sponsorship and eligibility requirements.
Senior or Specialist Worker Visa
This UK work visa allows an existing employee of an overseas business to come to the UK to perform an eligible role at a linked UK branch, subsidiary, or entity. It replaced the former Intra‑Company Transfer (ICT) visa and is designed specifically for senior managers with high‑level responsibility, strategic oversight, or decision‑making authority and specialist employees i.e. employees with advanced technical knowledge or proprietary expertise essential to the UK operation on temporary assignments.
Graduate Trainee Visa
A UK work visa for overseas workers transferring to a UK branch for a structured graduate training program. It is a temporary, 12-month, non-settlement route for managerial or specialist training, requiring a valid Certificate of Sponsorship from a licensed employer.
Service Supplier Visa
A temporary UK work route under the Global Business Mobility framework for overseas employees or self-employed professionals providing services covered by an international trade agreement. To qualify, you must have a valid Certificate of Sponsorship from an approved UK business, at least 12 months of prior experience in your field, and a contract for a job at a specific skill level. The visa duration depends on the trade agreement but is typically up to six or 12 months per assignment. The Service Supplier visa for Indian companies has been significantly updated following the UK-India Free Trade Agreement (FTA). As of March 2026, Indian professionals have a dedicated route to provide contracted services in the UK without needing to prove the previous 12-month overseas employment requirement that applies to other nationalities.
Secondment Worker Visa
A temporary UK route under the Global Business Mobility framework that allows overseas employers to transfer personnel to work for a different organisation in the UK to fulfil a high-value contract or investment worth at least £50 million. Applicants must have worked for their overseas employer for at least six months, hold a Certificate of Sponsorship from a UK based organisation and fill a role at graduate level or above.
