Careers Case Study: Cassie Beale

Posted on
Cassie is a Trainee Applications Support Analyst in our IT team.

I did not want to go to University after 'A' Levels and I wanted another way to start a career, so I applied to Blake Morgan, working in the Applied Technology Centre as an apprentice.

My original aim was to train to become a legal secretary and then a solicitor, but once I had finished my apprenticeship and gained my NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration, I applied for a job in the IT Applications team.

I support the firm's case management systems and intranet.  I am also learning a bit of SQL at the moment so I can work with databases when me move to a new system - all good transferable skills and qualifications.

The team is great, the job is always busy, with something new to do and the training is great.  The sense of progression is good. I like dealing with a wide cross-section of the business. You get the opportunity to talk with other teams and get to meet all kinds of people.  There are some great social events and good opportunities for career progression.
