Blake Morgan Partner awarded prestigious SCL Hudson Prize

Construction Partner Rachel Gwilliam, has been awarded second prize in this year's prestigious Hudson Prize for her paper on the thorny issue of recovery of adjudication costs under the Late Payments Act.

Rachel's paper will be published by the Society of Construction Law, or SCL, and she has been invited to present it to the SCL in London, on 5 July 2016. Richard Wade commented "this is a fantastic achievement and Rachel deserves our wholehearted congratulations".

The Hudson Prize is an annual essay prize awarded by the SCL. It attracts entries from across the industry –and from around the world. It is undoubtedly the most prestigious award for anyone involved in construction law. 

As well as a handsome prize fund of £1,000 and a case of wine, Rachel will also receive a year's complimentary membership to the SCL.
