EuroITCounsel ranked as leading Europe-wide legal network by Chambers Global
The EuroITCounsel network of independent specialist technology and IT lawyers, of which Blake Morgan is a founding member, has received a top-tier ranking for Europe-wide Technology and Communications networks, from Chambers and Partners Global.
EuroITCounsel started out as an informal group of specialist lawyers brought together by their experience in advising clients on issues affecting businesses and transactions involving the internet, e-commerce, computers and telecommunications. They developed a new approach to delivering specialist IT, computer and telecommunications sector legal advice across Europe with established, experienced EU state qualified lawyers. The group holds twice yearly meetings to discuss current legal developments and share best practice. Blake Morgan (through Partner Simon Stokes) also acts as company secretary for the network.
Earlier this month the group met in Stockholm and Simon Stokes attended with technology and outsourcing partner Sheilah Mackie from our Southampton office, both of whom regularly handle complex cross-border multi-million pound projects that often require input from other EuroITCounsel members. The latest meeting included talks from Microsoft's senior lawyer for Western Europe and an expert from Kroll Ontrack, the specialist data recovery and computer forensics, on key issues that they see affecting technology businesses and users today.
