Blake Morgan achieves Investors in People accreditation

Law firm Blake Morgan has been recognised for the way it supports, develops and manages its staff with an internationally-recognised accreditation from Investors in People (IIP).

The firm has achieved the Silver IIP Standard following a rigorous assessment process which looks at how companies empower staff, recognise and reward good performance and deliver continuous improvement.

This success follows Blake Morgan’s first IIP assessment for the Standard since the firm was created by the merger of Blake Lapthorn and Morgan Cole in July 2014. It means this is the first time the accreditation has applied to Blake Morgan’s Cardiff and Reading offices.

The IIP Standard, held by 14,000 organisations worldwide, is constantly updated and reviewed to take into account the latest workplace trends and structures required for organisations to be leading performers in their industry or profession. There are four levels of accreditation – Accredited, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

Walter Cha, Managing Partner at Blake Morgan, which has offices in Cardiff, London, Oxford, Portsmouth, Reading and Southampton, said: “We are proud to have achieved the Silver Standard from Investors in People.

“The Standard is constantly evolving with the assessment criteria becoming ever tougher, so this is true recognition of the commitment Blake Morgan has to developing and training its staff.

“Investors in People is the way we choose to measure the firm’s progress and benchmark our effectiveness in people management, staff development and ensuring that we keep pace with modern practices to ensure sustainable results. We now look forward to building on this success as we seek to continue to progress up the accreditation ladder.”
