The Real Estate team at leading law firm Blake Morgan is delighted to have been shortlisted for a major industry award.

The firm, which has six offices nationwide including Southampton and Portsmouth, is in the running for the Property Law Firm award at the prestigious South Coast Property Awards.

The awards are the annual celebration of the South Coast property market and highlight the region’s outstanding talent in the commercial and residential property sector.

This year’s shortlisting follows Blake Morgan’s award of Property Law Firm in 2016.

Blake Morgan Partner Olly Sowton, a Real Estate specialist based in Southampton who leads the team’s Corporate Occupier and Asset Management group, said: “We are delighted to be in the running for this highly sought-after award for the second year in a row.

“We have a large and highly-experienced Real Estate team delivering commercial and residential developments, property investments and asset management projects, and corporate occupier acquisitions for our clients operating in many sectors including retail and leisure.   This shortlisting not only recognises our team's breadth of legal  knowledge and expertise but also our involvement in and understanding of the South Coast property market.”

Olly was recently a guest speaker and compere at the Regenerate South Conference, hosted by Business South, which provided an opportunity for investors and developers to find out first-hand about development opportunities in the South Central region.

Blake Morgan’s Real Estate team in Southampton comprises more than 50 lawyers who specialise in commercial and residential development, property investment and asset management, property finance, corporate occupier work and agriculture transactions.

Real estate partner, Daniel Curtis, commented:

"The team here at Blake Morgan is delighted to have been nominated for Property Law Firm of the Year 2017 at the South Coast Property Awards.  As the inaugural winners of Property Law Firm of the Year at the 2016 South Coast Property Awards we are delighted to be recognised again for the continuing quality of the work the team undertakes and quality of clients that we act for.  We look forward to the awards ceremony itself and seeing contacts old and new".

The Southampton team is part of the Built Environment division of Blake Morgan comprising more than 130 lawyers.

The South Coast Property Awards, organised and staged by The Business Magazine and supported by the Southampton, Portsmouth and Bournemouth Property Associations, will take place on July 13 at Hilton at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton.
