Blake Morgan advises on sale of Be Wiser Insurance Services Limited
Blake Morgan have recently advised on the sale of the business and assets of Andover-based, Be Wiser Insurance Services Limited and the transfer of its 190 employees to Atlanta Group for an undisclosed sum.
Be Wiser is an established and much respected personal lines insurance broker with around 100,000 live policyholders across car, van, bike, travel and home insurance and holds Feefo Platinum Trusted status. The Atlanta Group is one of the largest and fastest-growing brokers in the UK insurance market and services 2.6 million customers across its brands including Autonet, Swinton, Paymentshield and Healthy Pets.

Having advised Be Wiser and its key shareholders across the whole firm for the past 10 years or so, it has been a privilege to be involved in its eventual exit. This was a genuine team effort, illustrating the true strength and depth of our cross-office legal practice, and we wish the business the greatest success under its new ownership.
The deal involved some complex and demanding negotiations with Stevens & Bolton representing the acquirer and a very intensive workload and we were required to achieve exchange of contracts within 3 weeks of first engagement with the deal then completing a fortnight later.
