Posted on 22nd September 2025

Blake Morgan recently acted for Dr. Jo Hillard on the sale of her company Central CPD Ltd to Improve International Ltd. The leading law firm helped facilitate the successful merger of Central CPD and Improve International, creating a partnership that will lead in the field of postgraduate veterinary education.

Central CPD offers a variety of high-quality teaching resources for veterinary professionals from theory to practical CPD attendance courses. They aim to deliver comprehensive, flexible learning opportunities that support veterinary professionals throughout their careers.

Merging with Improve International is a significant step forward in this mission and has allowed both Central CPD and Improve International to expand and enhance their services.

Improve International provides veterinary postgraduate training in nine languages and over 20 countries worldwide. The company delivers services which centre accessibility without compromising on quality and make them the global leader in postgraduate veterinary education.

The merger will allow the combined business to accelerate innovation, ensuring they stay at the cutting edge of clinical education, technology, and professional development methodologies. It will create a combined faculty of leading veterinary specialists and dedicated support staff who provide tailored support that meets the evolving needs of veterinary professionals.

The Blake Morgan team was led by Corporate Partner Manoj Styche-Patel. Manoj was supported by fellow corporate lawyers Katie Newham and Toby Price as well as Tax Partner Rob Thomas. He was also supported across Blake Morgan’s commercial, property and employment teams with Anthony Woolich, Skye Partridge, Bob Cordran and Imogen Higgins-Smith all contributing to ensure the deal ran smoothly.

Manoj Styche-Patel commented:

Huge congratulations to Jo for completing this transaction. On behalf of the whole Blake Morgan team, it was a pleasure to work with her. We wish the newly combined business every success going forward.

Dr. Jo Hillard added:

Thank you to Manoj, Katie, Toby and the Blake Morgan team for their hard work and diligence and supporting me on this transaction. Their speed of response and hands-on approach throughout the transaction made a real difference and helped keep everybody on track through to a successful conclusion.
