Wills, Trusts and Probate lawyer Lisa Davies has been confirmed as Blake Morgan’s new Head of Succession and Tax in Wales.

Lisa joins the Cardiff office of Blake Morgan from Sinclairslaw. The appointment comes as the firm also confirms two new high profile partner hires in the London family team with Flora Grossman and Farhana Shazady both joining Blake Morgan from Bindmans LLP.

A graduate of Oxford University, Lisa began her career with a training contract with London based Osbornes before joining Gabb & Co in 2006 then Leo Abse & Cohen, Slater and Gordon Lawyers and Sinclairslaw where she was Head of the Private Client Division. Lisa is a member of the Law Society Private Client Section and is a fully accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly. Her expertise includes wills and tax planning, probate and trust work, Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection cases.

Blake Morgan’s Senior Partner for Wales, Emyr Lewis says: “Lisa has developed an impressive track record over the last decade with a large following of clients and strong links with other professionals  including accountants and financial advisors. She is a highly respected lawyer with considerable experience. We are therefore delighted to welcome her to Blake Morgan at a time when we are investing heavily in our private client team.”

Lisa adds: “Blake Morgan is exactly the right size to deliver excellent legal solutions on a personal scale. The highly respected firm enjoys a breadth of knowledge across a number of offices, whilst still maintaining a local focus that puts clients first.  I am delighted to have the opportunity to join a law firm with such a solid reputation and look forward to developing the private client portfolio in Wales.”

Blake Morgan’s private client team specialists act for high net-worth individuals; entrepreneurs and business owners; farms and estates; and families that require advice on succession and tax, residential property or sensitive family issues spanning divorce, mediation and mental capacity issues.

The Legal 500 directory notes “they break down complex issues into an understandable and user-friendly format”, while the Chambers directory agrees “They give very clear explanations without the jargon.”

Blake Morgan is one of 46 law firms listed by eprivateclient as providing high quality and professional advice and support to high net worth domestic and international clients.
