Blake Morgan promotes four new partners
UK law firm Blake Morgan has announced the promotion of four legal directors to partners, reinforcing its commitment to investing in their people and supporting the firm’s continued growth across key sectors.
Michelle Davenport, Jane Biddlecombe, Joanna Corbett-Simmons and Owen Williams have all been promoted, reflecting their exceptional work and service to Blake Morgan’s clients. They join the eight partners that have been appointed at the firm in the past year – and provide additional strength balanced across the firm’s London, Southampton, Oxford, and Cardiff offices.
Michelle Davenport is based in Blake Morgan’s London office and has diverse experience across corporate and commercial matters – advising on exit strategies, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder agreements and joint ventures. Over her 20-year career in the sector, she has built a client base advising across tech, retail, hotels and leisure sectors.
Based in Southampton, Jane Biddlecombe is an expert in employment and immigration advisory, working on matters from contracts and settlement agreements to Visa sponsorships. She regularly presents training to clients on a variety of employment and business immigration topics and is an active member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association and Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association.
Joanna Corbett-Simmons is now a partner in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution team in Cardiff. She specialises in advising on corporate disputes, professional negligence, intellectual property and special educational or additional learning needs. She has led disputes on behalf of NHS England and the Welsh Government – she also advised NHS England in relation to both the Infected Blood and Covid-19 Public Inquiries.
Meanwhile in Oxford, Owen Williams advises clients on procurement strategies and disputes in Blake Morgan’s Construction team – working across the board with local authorities, private developers, landlords, tenants, sub-contractors and more. He is a member of the Society of Construction Law as well as having an active role in Blake Morgan’s national Construction Group.
Helen Bunker, Chair at Blake Morgan, said:
