Oliver is an Associate in our personal injury team, based in London.He is accredited as a senior litigator by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).

Main area of practice

Oliver specialises in high value personal injury cases involving severe brain and orthopaedic injury. He is the co-ordinator of the transport special interest group for the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and works with the London Courier's Emergency Fund (LCEF).

Clients

Oliver has significant experience helping clients who have suffered serious injuries through no fault of their own. He has a keen interest in helping cyclists who have suffered serious injury following a collision.

Oliver also represents the survivors of child abuse and has particular expertise in high profile group actions against individual abusers and institutional defendants including local authorities, the Scout Association and the Catholic Church. This has led him to act for clients in the Goddard Inquiry into historic child abuse cases. Oliver has also written on child abuse law in the national press and has been interviewed on radio on numerous occasions on these issues.

Significant experience 

  • Represented a cycle courier who was driven over by a tipper truck, causing him to sustain significant injury.
  • Oliver acted for 15 people alleging abuse by Lord Greville Janner including drafting submissions in respect of their participation in the Goddard inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse.
