Al is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution department and specialises in private sector disputes.
Main areas of practice
Al’s main line of work comes from private sector clients relating to contentious issues across a broad range of industries and sectors. Such matters include contract disputes, professional negligence, and shareholder/director disputes.
Al also assists other members of the team with public sector matters and has experience of dealing with partnership disputes.

Career
Al graduated from Cardiff University in 2015 achieving an Upper Second-Class Honours degree in Law. He went on to complete his Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice in 2018, also at Cardiff University, whilst working as a paralegal at a regional law firm.
Al subsequently completed his training contract at a regional law firm and qualified as a solicitor in September 2021.

- Acting for the petitioner in an unfair prejudice claim in respect of their shareholding in a professional sports team.
- Acting for 34 claimants in a professional negligence claim for a sum in the region of £1.7 million.
- Recovering multiple debts through pre-action correspondence, litigation and enforcement action.
- Landlord and tenant disputes relating to breach of tenancy agreements and trespass.
- Assisting schools at Independent Appeal Panels and Independent Review Panels following the permanent exclusion of a student.
- Advising regulators on the interpretation of legislation.
