Blake Morgan awarded double appointment to Crown Commercial Service’s Framework

Posted on 13th October 2022

Leading law firm Blake Morgan has been appointed to two lots under Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Public Sector Legal Services Framework for the next four years – extending the firm’s successful relationship with existing clients under the framework, and laying the groundwork for further growth.

Crown Commercial Service (CCS) leads on procurement policy on behalf of the Government and is responsible for managing and centralising the procurement of common goods and services to increase savings for the taxpayer. Blake Morgan already acts for the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Training Regulation Agency (TRA) and the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), under a previous contract.

Blake Morgan has now been reappointed to Lot 1a, covering Full Service Provision (England and Wales), and appointed for the first time to Lot 2a, covering General Service Provision (England and Wales). This new contract runs until September 2026. It was awarded following a competitive tender process, where the firm scored highly across all assessed categories, including scoring 100 per cent for quality and social value across all but one response.

Nick Leale, Head of the Regulatory Business Group at Blake Morgan, said:

This significant win will provide tremendous opportunities for many of our teams, including regulatory, property and commercial, to continue working with public sector bodies and to acquire new clients. I'd like to congratulate and thank all those who worked so hard to secure this contract, as well as the teams who have proved in practice Blake Morgan’s quality and expertise with existing CCS framework clients over the past years.
