Expert Pre-Nuptial Agreement Solicitors

Blake Morgan’s expert family solicitors advise clients on Pre-nuptial Agreements, as well as post-nuptial, which encompasses matters of tax, domicile and jurisdiction.

Our Pre-nuptial Agreement solicitors have seen a notable rise in people wanting more certainty and reassurance about how their finances would be treated if they were to divorce, annul their marriage or separate. This is important where you may want to protect the financial interests of children from a previous relationship, your inherited wealth or wealth generated from business endeavours prior to the marriage. We advise families on how to protect wealth to ensure assets built by generations, are retained.

Main Areas Of Practice

Our team of family solicitors are highly experienced in dealing with:

Pre-nuptial Agreements

The decision to enter into a Pre-nuptial Agreement, what it should include, negotiating its terms and drafting the document needs specialist skill, professional expertise and knowledge which can only be provided by an appropriately qualified solicitor acting on your behalf. We offer a bespoke service ranging from simple to highly complex Pre-nuptial Agreements.

Post-nuptial Agreement

Have you married but then either inherited or come into significant wealth which you want to protect? We offer a highly personalised service for complex Post-nuptial Agreements. We will explain the options open to you and deal with the decision-making, preparation and execution of a Post-nuptial Agreement sensitively and effectively.

Our Clients

Our clients include those with wealth to protect, which they have accumulated and/or which has been gifted to them or which they are due to inherit.

"I was treated at all times with kindness and understanding."
– Mrs A

"Thank you and your colleagues for your help and professionalism in dealing with this matter."
– Ms M

"I have been really impressed with how you have handled my case. You have listened to my complicated situation and have been able to resolve my issues."
– Mr H

Highlights

Negotiating a detailed Pre-nuptial Agreement at short notice for a high net worth client (with wealth of £20m), who was marrying for the second time. This helped ensure that the bulk of his wealth would be preserved in the event of the relationship breaking down and this was achieved at a fraction of what the cost would be to go to Court and argue it all out. The client was delighted with the outcome.

Advising a longstanding client's daughter on her asset position post-marriage, and subsequently drafting and negotiating her Pre-nuptial Agreement so that future inheritance and family money already advanced to the bride was safeguarded in the event of divorce or separation.

Acting in Pre-nuptial and Post-nuptial Agreements for clients who have complex international affairs, involving considerations of jurisdiction and tax, recent work including acting for a client who owns significant assets abroad and with income derived from overseas ventures but living in the UK. Pre-nuptial Agreement negotiated to protect wealth and to protect the client's children upon entering into a second marriage.
