Blake Morgan has made two key appointments to build on the success of its London-based commercial litigation practice.

The firm has appointed Justin Weare as a Partner in the Commercial Litigation Team at its London office.

Justin, who joins from Jones Day, brings with him significant experience in litigation and arbitration. He specialises in global disputes and advises domestic, international and multinational corporates, as well as individuals, on shareholder and joint venture disputes, offshore claims, energy disputes and product liability matters.

Christopher Williams joins as a Legal Director in the same team and also sits in the firmwide IP group. Christopher, previously of Russell-Cooke has over 12 years’ experience in infringement of trademark designs and copyright, IT disputes, domain name disputes and contentious trademark registry proceedings.

Their appointments come as Blake Morgan has strengthened its teams as part of an ongoing recruitment drive, with appointments made in its London-based built environment, commercial litigation, private law, residential property and real estate practices as well as in the wider firm’s offices on the South Coast, Thames Valley and in Cardiff.

Mike Wilson, Managing Partner at Blake Morgan, said: “We are delighted to welcome Justin and Christopher to our commercial litigation team.

“Both have a huge amount of experience and knowledge in the field of commercial litigation and their appointments further strengthen our offering as a firm.”

The dispute resolution group at Blake Morgan is one of 11 National Leaders outside London (Chambers and Partners 2016) in the UK and in addition has a highly-regarded London team.
