Posted on 7th August 2019
Blake Morgan’s corporate team has successfully advised Ickenham Travel Group on the sale of the business and assets of their business travel division, Business Travel Direct to travel management company Reed & Mackay.

Business Travel Direct provides travel expertise to corporate clients ranging from SMEs to FTSE100 companies. Buyers, Reed & Mackay identified the acquisition as part of their strategic growth plan as both companies have experienced growth over the last two years and are closely aligned in terms of industry sectors and client-first mind-set.

To bring the deal to a successful conclusion, Blake Morgan’s corporate team advised on all aspects of the business sale called upon the technical expertise of its travel regulatory, property, employment and pensions offering.

Stojan Essex, Partner in Blake Morgan’s corporate team, has acted for Ickenham Travel Group for over 10 years. Commenting on Blake Morgan’s involvement in this transaction, Stojan said: “It has been our pleasure to act for Peter Reglar and Ickenham over the years and we were delighted to be able to assist in successfully closing the sale of the business travel division.  I am sure that Peter and his team will go from strength to strength focusing on its leisure travel business.”
